Versatile
connectivity
Sea Tel 2406 VSAT antenna system complies with the FCC's 04-286,
WRC-03 resolution 902 and ETSI's latest EN 302 340 for ESV (Earth
Stations on Vessels - Ku-band antenna), which is a remarkable
achievement for a 60cm ring-focus maritime VSAT antenna.
Its size makes Sea Tel 2406 VSAT highly suitable for providing
reliable connectivity for a wide variety of leisure and
professional vessels including Inter-Coastal vessels, or for
special projects that may require temporary connectivity in a fast
and easily deployable package.
Small but tough
Although small, the Sea Tel 2406 VSAT antenna is built to Sea
Tel's exacting standards for vibration, shock and EMC meaning you
can rely on it to provide a stable link even in the extreme weather
and rough seas.
Antenna efficiency is better than 70% across the transmit and
receive bands so you can be confident in its ability to enable
applications such as file and image transfer, video conferencing,
e-mail, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and database backup.
Feature rich and flexible
If you need an antenna that can provide reliability and
availability of service, alongside straightforward installation,
maintenance and operation but with a smaller footprint on board,
then Sea Tel 2406 VSAT is for you.
It is compatible with a diverse range of modems, networks and
service. It utilises the advanced 19" rack mount DAC 2202 Antenna
Control Unit, which offers all ports and connections needed to set
up and operate complex on board communication networks.
Cutting-edge technology
Cobham SATCOM antennas are designed and built to exacting
standards. We develop and integrate innovative, cutting-edge
technology to ensure high performance and reliability in the
maritime arena, resulting in hardware that service providers and
end-users can trust.
Take for instance, Sea Tel's 3-axis stabilization system used in
Sea Tel 2406 VSAT. It isolates the antenna from the ship's motion
no matter how extreme the weather and rough the seas. The antenna
system responds to ship's movement at a rate as fast as 90 degrees
per second ensuring accurate pointing and therefore a stable
connection 24/7.
